Community Group Questions

This week we will conclude our 3-week sermon series “Fresh Start”. Throughout our series we have seen that in order for us to truly have the FRESH START our heart longs for, we first must be “Rescued” from the power of sin and death through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have looked at what it means to then be “Reconciled” back to God, as the price we owed has been paid in full. Today we look at what it means to be “Renewed” by the transformative work of the Holy Spirit within us. If we truly want a fresh start, there is only one place we can find it, that is at the foot of the cross!

Read: Ephesians 4:17-24, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 4:16, Titus 3:5

Discuss:

1. What does it mean to be truly “Renewed” in Christ?

What about us should we expect to change?

2. What might we need to do in order to allow spiritual renewal to take place in our lives?

What can YOU do as an individual to help support spiritual

               renewal in others?

3. How might our lives look different if we truly surrendered to the Holy Spirit in all things?

4. What impact could we have for the kingdom of God, in our community and in our church, if we found true contentment in Him and Him alone!?

Pray/Meditate

Titus 3:5
“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,”
