Family Sunday

What is Family Sunday?

Family Sunday is a time where our kids are encouraged to worship the Lord together with their families in the sanctuary. This is a Sunday that your kids will learn from YOU.

Psalm 95:6

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

And we plan to do just that together as one family, ONE body, the body of Christ. We know kids can be loud, and it is not easy for them to sit still. But, that is what we are expecting! So, don't let that stop you from worshiping our Maker together.

Family Sunday occurs when there is a 5th Sunday in a month. On the 5th Sunday, the children's classrooms will be closed for everyone over the age of three.

What can I expect on Family Sunday?

Here is what you can expect when you enter the foyer of the church

  • Please Check-In your children! (for attendance, not stickers unless they are in the nursery) The check-in desk will be in the foyer, near the front doors of the church.

  • You will notice two types of bags hanging in the foyer.

  • The Little Kid's Bag includes a clipboard and sheets designed for kids in Abiders and Bible Builders classes. It will also have crayons, a pencil, and some little fidget toys.

  • The Big Kid's Bag includes a clipboard and sheets designed for Bible Builders and CrossWalkers. This packet is more "note-taking/reflection". It will also have some crayons, a pencil, and fidget items.

  • PLEASE encourage your child to sing during worship. The notes and coloring are for during the sermon.

  • We will be giving prizes for sheets turned in and well done, so encourage them to do their best and place their packet in the bin labeled "Turn in notes here!" Come back next week for the prize!

  • When leaving, please return the bags, clipboards, crayons, and pencils to the designated bucket outside the sanctuary, so we can use them again next time.

  • The NURSERY will be OPEN for children ages 2 and under, but even the littlest ones are welcome in the sanctuary!

We look forward to worshiping together!
