No Other Gospel: A Study of Galatians - Week 8

July 22, 2018 | Kyle Brenon | Galatians 6:1-10

This week we conclude our series through the book of Galatians entitled, “No other Gospel.”
Last week, in chapter 5 Paul reminded us that we are to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh and then spells out for us the difference between the works of the flesh, and the FRUIT of the Spirit. In 5:25-26 he says “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

This week we look at Galatians 6:1-10 where Paul gives believers instructions as to how we are to look out for each other, to restore each other and to bear one another"s burdens. He makes it clear that all of this can only be done in humility by walking in the Spirit not in the flesh.

If we are to truly understand HOW to love each other the way our Father intended, and to live in community with each other, we need to see chapter 6 in light of chapter 5.

Galatians 6:1-3  "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
